Tiffany Messina was born in Galveston, Texas on August 23rd in 2002. She has lived her whole life as a Houston native while also venturing to the Philippines with family to keep in touch with half her roots. Previously, her involvement in Fine arts was related to the musical side, playing the Flute and exploring other arts like Floral design and arrangement. Throughout Tiffany’s education, she would pick up the arts casually until she reached college. At the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus she officially began taking art seriously as a degree and career path. While exploring the many artistic mediums that were offered, Tiffany gained experience and a foundation of art knowledge that she carries into her personal works.

There at UHCL she would explore painting, creating small figures, drawing, weavings, photography, and more. The leading factors in making her work or what guides her hands are its ultimate intent, whether it is a piece meant to be disturbing, colorful, uplifting, or to have functionality. For small figures, she would explore character and creature design in making 3D works that range from cartoon animals to monsters. Her favored mediums being within Fibers and Sculpture which she currently explores most to create more artworks. Within the time that she had begun pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a concentration in Studio Arts, she has participated in 3 exhibitions and won the 2025 BFA card design competition for the Spring Exhibition. Tiffany will be graduating in the Spring of 2025 with the intention of expanding her own portfolio as an artist and pursuing Grad school for an MFA.
